Credentialing organizations periodically update and publish new exam content outlines to ensure their exams remain relevant, valid, and aligned with the latest industry standards. We update our exam prep content to reflect these changes so you can adequately prepare for your exam.
When our exam prep content is updated to reflect a new exam version, you will receive an in-app notification and an email. You will be able to continue taking quizzes and view your stats in the old version until one month after the credentialing organization no longer offers the exam. Check with the credentialing organization for your exam to understand if a new version is coming and what your options are.
Stats and study activity are tracked separately for each exam version. If older exam versions are retired, you may lose access to their associated stats and study activity.
How to switch exam versions in Pocket Prep
On your mobile app, you can switch to the new exam version by navigating to Settings > Exam Settings > select exam version > select the Change Version button. You can switch between the old and new versions without losing progress until the Discontinuing date, at which time you will be permanently switched to the new version.
Note: Historical stats and study activity from the older version will not appear in the new version. However, you can switch back to the older version to view your previous stats.
To switch exam versions from your web browser, click your name in the top-right corner and select Settings. In the left menu, click Exams. Next to your exam, click Exam Settings. Click Prep Content, then Review Versions, and select the version you’d like to study.
